Conduct remote research via the COVID-19 Research App
The COVID-19 Research App enables the remote gathering of data to aid in COVID-19 research and development.
It allows subjects to participate via their smartphone, is available on both iOS and Android operating systems, and can support multiple languages.
The App is secure and GCP compliant; its architecture, infrastructure, and processes are compliant to 21 CFR PART 11 and HIPAA guidelines.
Both the COVID-19 Research App and its server infrastructure can be installed in regional data centers to support data transfer and geopolitical-specific data privacy laws.
It includes three types of activities:
Subjects log symptoms
every day
The COVID-19 Research App Symptom Diary allows participants to log symptoms every day. This can help researchers make a connection between patient-reported symptoms and COVID-19.
Subjects record their voice
The COVID-19 Research App Phoneme Task allows participants to record key sounds like “Ahh” and “Mmm”. This can help researchers with detecting a respiratory condition.
Subjects read a paragraph
The COVID-19 Research App Reading Task allows participants to record themselves reading a paragraph. This can help researchers detect voice changes concurrent with a respiratory condition.
